Weird? ME weird? Surely you jest!

Oh lord, Lisa wants to know how weird I am. Honey, let me count the ways!

1. Those shoes up there are all mine, and there are actually lots more than those. And I wear them, and pretty much nothing else. I'm way too old for such nonsense, but I cite as my main influence my mom, who wore jeans and sneakers to the end, in her 80's.

2. I eat like a child. My husband saves me from this a little, as I do feel I have to feed him a halfway decent dinner, but left to my own devices, I will eat whatever takes the least time from my preoccupations, whatever I can grab and get right back to the sewing machine.

3. I wouldn't have thought this was SO weird, except that the aforementioned husband laughed at me last night about it. I pack a cooler full of Diet Cokes to take to my sewing room, so that I don't have to waste time going to the fridge in the middle of a project.

4. I don't answer the phone. My friends know the best way to reach me is via e-mail. The phone ringing always seems a little rude to me!

5. My ideal schedule would be to sleep from 5 a.m. till noon or so. I try to bend to fit into the real world better, but I generally revert to form eventually. I would love it if I could eliminate the need for sleep, so I would have more time for reading and making stuff.

6. I love to swing. I have hammock chairs indoors and outdoors, and I do my best concentrating while swinging madly.

7. My other best reading space is in my car, sitting at a park. I like being in my little "island" and there are fewer distractions than at home, where everything is calling to me at once: Watch TV! Answer e-mail! Cruise the net! Make something! Feed the dogs! Clean a closet!
