Heaven, I'm in heaven . . .

Oh my. Here I am in my favorite place in the world. Careful readers will note that even though I said two days ago, "See you tomorrow" I did not see you tomorow, which was yesterday. Why? Because I was, let me think, what's that word again? Oh yes, RELAXING. I was resting, chillin, doing quite a bit of nothing much. Oh my. I am so cool, calm, and collected here in the country that I may never do another lick of work.

Nahhhhhhhh. I'll get back to work, I promise! But first, to make my happiness complete, soon I'm heading over to one of my favorite places, The Cotton Ball. I'll be dropping off one of my sewing machines and my serger for much-needed tuneups, and trying to resist buying any fabric. For sure, if I DO buy any fabric, I will be concealing it when I get back, lest snoopy eyes (Rick!) should catch me in the act. I really have no business at all adding to this mountain of fabric, yet I have very little sales resistance when it comes to lovely, fabulous threads. Just keep me away from my other favorite place, which is even closer to home, Quilters' Cupboard! Those gals look so innocent, and they are all "Hi, how are you Kathi?" and friendly and everything, and they are sharks. Sharks, I tell you! They never let you out of there without fabric! Oh, I have tried, believe me. But nooooooooooooo. They have some secret way of making you believe you must have it. "Must. Buy. Fabric." I wonder if there is some kind of odorless, colorless gas piped in there? A job for the Atascadero police, if not the FBI.

So, let me compare. Here is where I WAS:

and now I am HERE:

Discuss.

And yes, I do know I am the luckiest person in the world. I only wish I had done something grand to feel I deserved this. (I'm not dead yet; there is still a chance I might?)
